HOSTLINE Joins DE-CIX
HOSTLINE has joined DE-CIX, the world’s leading Internet Exchange operator and home to over 4,000 globally connected networks. This new peering presence marks another deliberate step in building an infrastructure that businesses can genuinely rely on.
What is DE-CIX?
DE-CIX is a carrier- and data-center-neutral Internet Exchange operator with a presence in approximately 60 markets across five continents, interconnecting thousands of network operators, ISPs, content providers, and enterprise networks from more than 100 countries. Its flagship exchange in Frankfurt is one of the world’s largest Internet Exchanges, and the broader DE-CIX ecosystem gives members direct access to a vast and diverse global peering fabric. In 2025 alone, more than 4,000 connected networks exchanged 79 exabytes of data traffic across DE-CIX’s global platforms – a scale that speaks to the exchange’s central role in keeping the modern internet running.

What This Means for HOSTLINE Customers
Peering at DE-CIX means HOSTLINE can now exchange traffic directly with hundreds of global networks – including major CDNs such as Google, Netflix, and Akamai – translating into concrete improvements for every customer:
- Reduced Latency – Direct peering means fewer hops between users and their destinations, delivering faster response times across all services.
- Optimised Financial Routing – We continuously fine-tune routes to Forex brokers and trading platforms, making DE-CIX peering a direct advantage for our Forex VPS customers.
- Improved Throughput – Direct connections offer more stable, higher-speed data transfers compared to routing through multiple external intermediaries.
- Better Content Delivery – Direct access to major CDNs like Google, Netflix, and Akamai means faster page loads and smoother streaming for end-users.
- Redundancy & Resilience – If a transit provider goes down, traffic automatically reroutes through the exchange, keeping services running without interruption.
- Traffic Localisation – Keeping regional traffic within DE-CIX reduces reliance on long-haul links and international undersea cables, lowering congestion risk.
- Direct Peering Opportunities – DE-CIX serves as a neutral meeting point to establish bilateral agreements with ISPs, enterprises, and cloud providers.
- Rapid Scalability – A single DE-CIX port unlocks access to thousands of networks, without the overhead of negotiating individual physical connections.
- Competitive Edge – Low-latency, direct-route connectivity is a key differentiator when serving high-value financial and B2B customers.
Looking Ahead
This milestone is part of HOSTLINE’s continued investment in its global network footprint. We will keep expanding our peering relationships, adding resilience, and building coverage across key markets – always with the goal of delivering the best possible infrastructure for our customers.
